The printer will install and will appear in your list of printers in the Printers & Scanners preferences. Most departmental Canons are model 4725/4735. How to add a network printer to your Mac:
Once it has installed (drivers included), print out a document to the network printer you have just connected to, to make sure you have successfully connected to that printer.
